Night out + Hangovers + Children = Painful day after

In my pre children days if I had a night out and had a few drinks I didn’t need to worry about the next day – I could fall into bed at whatever hour I managed to crawl into bed and stay there until I felt well enough and rested enough to get up – usually near lunch time!

Once kids arrived on the scene the concept of nights out changed forever (along with many other things but that’s for another post).  For the actual night out there is babysitting to worry about and once you out worrying  are the kids okay.

What is in a name that which we call a rose…..

One of the biggest decisions to make once your baby has arrived is naming it.  Of course this process starts the minute you see the positive pregnancy test!  And indeed for some before they are even pregnant :)

 

You may have gone through your pregnancy teasing out different names, different combinations of names with the baby’s surnames – does it suit? Sound right?

Afternoon tea with my big girl

My mum bought a voucher from Rewarding Times for Afternoon Tea for Two in the Conrad Hotel.  She gave it to me and my sister to use and suggested I bring my oldest with us as she reckoned she would enjoy the experience.

Today was the day.  We were booked in for 3.30pm and took the train into Dublin City Centre.  While I endure that train ride everyday to go to work for her it was the start of the adventure.

As our train was due into the City centre we agreed to take a stroll up Grafton Street, Dublin’s shopping street and home to the Disney Store in Dublin!!  We only visited one shop! Guess which one!
