The Woman’s Way & Lidl Mum of the Year Awards 2015
Last year I posted about my Mum for Mother’s Day. We nearly lost her in the Summer of 2011. I am so very grateful that she pulled through and is still here with us today. I know others that have not been so lucky.
Her illness has made me appreciate her even more than I already did. She has made me re-evaluate my life for the better and be a better Mum myself.
There are, of course, loads of special Mums out there and it is lovely to see some recognition in the form of The Woman’s Way & Lidl Mum of the Year Awards which were recently launched by Lisa Duffy in the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin. The awards are now in their 12th year.
Commenting on the competition, Áine Toner, editor of Woman’s Way said;
“I am continually humbled by the volume of nominations received and the level of resilience and determination demonstrated by the mums of Ireland. The Woman’s Way Mum of the Year Awards have been running for 12 years and remain dedicated to those local heroes who deserve a chance to shine. I urge the husbands, partners, children, siblings, community groups, neighbours of friends of that special woman in your life to get involved and get nominating. We are also delighted in having Lidl return as our sponsor for the third year. The brand understands families and continues to offer excellent value and quality.”
Do you know a deserving Mum? If so, you can nominate her for the title of Mum of the Year 2015.
Application forms are available each week in Woman’s Way magazine from March 10 – May 2. If you prefer to do things online, entries can also be made online at www.womansway.ie or E-mailed to motya2015@harmonia.ie. Entries close May 1st.
There will be a shortlist of regional finalists for Ulster, Munster, Leinster, Connaught and Dublin announced prior to the awards. The awards will involve a lavish lunch for the finalists in July. The winner will walk away with free groceries for a year worth €5,000 from Lidl as well as the title of Mum of the Year 2015.
Note: This is not a sponsored post.
